Management

Velis Associates utilizes strong coordinated Project Management teamwork as a discipline to plan, organize and manage all resources to successfully complete each project timely. We subscribe to the Critical Path Methodology. Our resources employed consist of capital, people, materials, computer software, energy, communication and motivation. Our goal is to properly manage each project to create a unique product which will add value to the building.

Our PM team coordinates between technical skills and the adoption of our management philosophy. We optimize the allocation and integration of staff input necessary to satisfy the scope of the project within all necessary time constraints. The roles and responsibilities of each staff member within each department is clearly defined and cross referenced. Each of our 7 departments satisfy a critical element on our path to the creation of a quality product.

Purchasing

– Coordinate with Sales, Project Management, Production, and Engineering
– Procure all goods and services required for the specific project
– Determine the most appropriate and effective method of acquisition for each request for purchase.

Production

– Coordinate with Project Management, Engineering, Purchasing, and Sales
– Focus on the conversion of “inputs” into “outputs”
– Control the quality of raw materials from suppliers, as well as finished components, assuring fast and    accurate production of manufactured units using up-to-date inspection procedures and tools

Sales

– Planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating customer’s ideas.
– Synchronizing the team effort of all departments involved in producing the final product.
– Utilize samples, computer presentations and renderings to support customer’s design objective.

Engineering
– Coordinate with Sales, Project Management, Production, Manufacturing, and Purchasing.
– Plan and direct design concept in production and manufacturing stage.
– Prepare detailed shop drawings for approval and listed parts drawing for shop manufacturing.

Manufacturing– Establish quality and production standards by implementing design through production technology.
– Coordinate with Sales, Project Management, Production, Manufacturing, and Purchasing.

Administration

– Oversee and administrate complete cycle from sales to completed project.
– Exceed quality control standards.
– Maintain custom software database to support all projects from initial sales point to final completion of project.
– Manage daily business operations.

Accounting– Calculate, post and verify information to provide primary financial data for use in maintaining accurate and timely financial records.
– Provide invoicing for completed projects, manage payables, and oversee corporate financial activities.
